Our business

Who you are buying from

Woollaston White is the trading name of Benjamin Griffiths, a sole trader. Our business and correspondence address is 4 Ashes Lane, Stalybridge, Cheshire, SK15 2RH, United Kingdom.

Email sales@woollastonwhite.co.uk or use our contact page. We reply by email within 24 hours. Woollaston White is not currently VAT registered.

These terms apply to consumer purchases through our online store. Please read them with the product information, delivery information and returns policy before ordering, and keep a copy for your records. Any separately agreed trade or service terms must be provided before the relevant agreement is made.

Your order

Products, prices & payment

Check the product description, selected size or colour, quantity and delivery address before paying. Contact us promptly if you notice a mistake; we will help where we can, although an order already dispatched may need to be returned.

Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the store. Delivery charges and any applicable discounts are displayed before you complete checkout. We do not currently charge VAT. If our VAT status changes, the applicable price and tax information will be shown before you place a new order.

The available payment methods are shown at checkout. Shop Pay and other payment providers may have their own account or payment terms, but using them does not remove your rights against us as the seller.

We will confirm your order by email. If there is a stock, payment or pricing problem, we will contact you promptly to explain the position and agree the next step. We will not substitute an item or charge a higher price without your agreement. Where an order cannot lawfully be fulfilled and is cancelled, any payment for the cancelled items and relevant delivery charges will be refunded promptly. Nothing here gives us an unrestricted right to cancel an accepted contract.

Considered details

Product descriptions & care

We aim to show our products accurately. Screen settings and lighting can affect how colours appear. Hand-finished pieces and natural materials may have small variations, as described in the relevant listing. Styling accessories are included only when the listing says so.

These explanations do not excuse a product being faulty, unsafe, materially different from its description or unsuitable for a purpose we have agreed with you. Please follow the care and safety instructions supplied with your purchase and contact us if anything is unclear.

Any commercial guarantee described on a listing is additional to your statutory rights, not a replacement for them.

From us to you

Delivery, collection & pre-orders

Our delivery policy explains dispatch times, postage charges, large-item charges and collection by arrangement. Dispatch preparation and carrier delivery time are separate. If a date is essential, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether it can be agreed.

For pre-orders or items with a longer lead time, the expected timing must be made clear before purchase. If timing changes, we will contact you. Standard pre-orders are not automatically excluded from cancellation rights.

We remain responsible for goods sent using our delivery service until you, or a person you nominate, takes physical possession. If a parcel is missing or damaged, contact us so we can investigate and resolve it; you do not have to pursue our carrier yourself. Your statutory rights regarding late delivery remain unchanged.

If it is not quite right

Cancellations, refunds & exchanges

For most online goods purchases, you have 14 days from the day after delivery to notify us that you wish to cancel, followed by another 14 days to return the goods. For an order delivered in parts, the cancellation period starts after the last item arrives. You can also cancel before dispatch.

Customers cover change-of-mind return postage where this was properly disclosed before purchase. We cover reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged or incorrect items. Sale goods have the same statutory rights as full-price goods.

See our returns, refunds and exchanges policy for the return address, refund times, exceptions, delivery-charge refunds and optional cancellation form. That policy does not limit your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer law.

Your information

Accounts, privacy & website use

Keep your contact and delivery information accurate, and protect your sign-in details and verification codes. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. Never email us full payment-card details or passwords.

Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled. It is a privacy notice, not a blanket request for consent to marketing or tracking.

Please use the website lawfully and do not interfere with its security or other customers' use. Website content belongs to us or its respective owners and licensors. You may save order and policy information for your personal records; commercial reuse of protected content requires the relevant permission.

Here to help

Questions & complaints

Email sales@woollastonwhite.co.uk with your order number, what went wrong and the outcome you would like. We will reply within 24 hours. This is an initial-response commitment, not a promise that every investigation will be complete within that time.

We will explain what we are doing, request any necessary information and keep you informed. If you are unhappy with the response, ask for the complaint to be reviewed by Benjamin Griffiths. We will explain our final position and provide information about alternative dispute resolution where required. You remain free to seek independent advice or use the courts.

Fair terms

Responsibility & your rights

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

These terms do not exclude statutory rights to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, accurate descriptions or the remedies available when goods do not meet those requirements.

English law governs these terms, without taking away mandatory consumer protections applicable where you live. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts as well as in England and Wales. Customers elsewhere retain any mandatory local rights and jurisdiction protections.

Updates apply to future purchases, not retrospectively to existing orders without a lawful basis or your agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, that does not remove the remaining lawful terms or your statutory rights.
